A weekly program for homeschooled ages 6–12 offering a nature-based learning environment rooted in exploration and connection. Participants build practical skills, ecological awareness, and strong peer relationships through time spent on the land.

A monthly program for ages 7–12 focused on observation and relationship with the natural world. Through tracking, ecological awareness, and quiet exploration, participants deepen their attention, curiosity, and understanding of local landscapes.

Archery is more than learning to shoot a bow, it’s an opportunity to build focus, confidence, self-discipline, and a deeper connection with the natural world. At VWP, archery is taught outdoors through the changing seasons, creating opportunities for meaningful nature immersion and hands-on learning.
Guided by USA Archery Certified Instructors, participants learn safe shooting techniques while developing patience, awareness, and focus. VWP places a special emphasis on reciprocity, the understanding that our relationship with nature is one of connection, care, and giving back, not simply taking from the natural world.
Alongside archery, youth engage in nature games, exploration, and wilderness skills such as fire-making, stealth, observation, and awareness. These experiences strengthen hand-eye coordination, resilience, decision-making, and confidence while encouraging curiosity and a sense of belonging in the outdoors.
Whether trying archery for the first time or building on existing skills, participants will experience the challenge and excitement of archery within a supportive outdoor community and leave with new friendships, greater confidence, practical nature skills, and a deeper connection to the living world around them.
