Earth Walkers Story of the Day
january 18, 2025
Our day was packed with games, connection, and navigation-themed activities!
Teens learned to use a compass and follow coordinates to find bandanas hidden around the edge of Dupar Meadow, as well as practiced retrieving a personal item 30 paces away - while blindfolded (did you know how challenging it is to walk straight without sight!
With wood and a portable fire pit in hand, our group then proceeded to find our dinner location on the land using a map with an X marking our spot. Stories were shared all around and pairs answered thoughtful questions to get to know each other better.
Our evening activity tasked the group to find their way back to Dupar Meadow as a team, all while blindfolded. With safety protocols in place, they linked hands in a long line and, after some searching, found the right path back!
