Story of the Day - Wind Gatherers

April 25th, 2025

Another Amazing Spring Day!

We welcomed the day with a creative project: making spools of twine through lashing techniques, setting the stage for future projects. From there, the energy soared as we moved into one of our favorite games — Fox Tails — bringing laughter and excitement to the meadow.

Later, we revisited the special areas where we practiced observational drawing last week. It was wonderful to see the changes that had taken place — what transformations did your child notice in their plant after just one week?

At Toad’s, fort building resumed with full enthusiasm. New structures and imaginative spaces sprang up as the children worked together, immersed in the spirit of adventure.

A magical challenge awaited next: tracking the sound of a harp playing deep in the woods. Despite our best efforts, the harp remained hidden, its music mingled with the other lively sounds of spring. Perhaps next week, the forest harp will reveal itself!

As the afternoon warmed up, we found ourselves seeking shade during our sit spot time. Some chose new spots to enjoy the quiet while escaping the hot sun. We then gathered edible wild plants and began crafting our very own springtime vinegars. To let the magic unfold, we buried the vinegar jars in a secret, cool, and dark place where they’ll infuse for the next two weeks.

What a full and joyful day of connection, creativity, and discovery!
