Story of the Day - Wild Wanderers

April 9th, 2025

Our Wild Wanderers hiked together to a fort on the way to Uncle Wigglebottom's Cabin. While some of us stayed at the fort to explore and build, others retrieved data from a trail cam. During our wanders, we gathered a basket full of Big Leaf Maple Maple blossoms. Back in Dupar Meadow, we met up with the Wild Wanderer teens for lunch in the sun. After, instead of our traditional storytelling, Bird Skits were performed! The skits highlighted types of bird calls and behaviors--does your Wild Wanderer remember any of them?

Our day ended with a large group game of Nest Robbers where "bird families" had to avoid predators while also gathering food for their nest. After all of that hard work, we gathered around the campfire to cook up a favorite seasonal treat: Maple Blossom Fritters!
