A Day on the Beach
November 8, 2019
Sometimes we search far and wide, when what we are looking for is right next to us. Though what we really find is on the adventure of looking.
Fire Tenders had a delightful beach day, starting with otters, sea lions, and geese coming close to hear the story. Clans then divided up for their adventures which included: an imaginary survival adventure, some sliding on butts, some fire building and lighting, some water diversion tactics and made on the beach devices/sculptures, some hands in clay, and all with an awareness of the tide coming in to engulf what is in the path.
A big group game of “Life of Salmon” was played….what was the most challenging for the Salmon…the eagle? racoon? fish ladder? fisher people?
The amphitheater lent itself to awakening expression with stories and skits enjoyed in an ever deepening community in witness.
Thank you for your commitment to the earth and your children!
